Apple Health (HealthKit) Data

With your permission, the app reads the following data from Apple Health (HealthKit): steps and activity data, weight and height measurements, heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV), active calories burned, resting heart rate, and sleep analysis (duration, stages, and efficiency). The app may also write dietary energy (calories logged) and weight entries to Apple Health. HealthKit data is used exclusively for providing personalized health and fitness coaching. HealthKit data is never used for advertising, marketing, or use-based data mining — by us or any third party.

AI-Powered Coaching & Third-Party AI Services

Real Results AI includes an AI-powered health coach called ROSIE that provides personalized nutrition, fitness, and recovery insights. To generate these insights, the app sends certain personal data to a third-party AI service. Your explicit consent is required before any data is sent, and you can opt out at any time in the app's Settings.

Third-Party AI Provider

Our AI coaching features are powered by xAI (Grok), operated by xAI Corp. Your data is sent from the app to the Real Results backend server (realresults.app), which forwards the relevant context to xAI's API to generate a coaching response. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+.

What Data Is Sent to xAI

• Nutrition data: Daily calorie intake, macronutrient totals (protein, carbs, fat), and food log summaries.
• Activity data: Step counts, workout history, and exercise details.
• Health metrics from Apple Health (HealthKit): Weight, sleep duration and stages, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, and recovery scores.
• Fitness goals: Calorie targets, weight goals, activity level, and coaching tone preferences.
• Conversation messages: Text you send to the AI coach.

Data Retention by xAI

xAI processes your data to generate a coaching response and does not retain your personal data after the response is returned. Real Results does not permit xAI to use your data for training AI models.

HealthKit Data Protections

Health data sourced from Apple HealthKit (including sleep, heart rate, HRV, and weight) is used exclusively for providing personalized health coaching insights. HealthKit data is never used for advertising, marketing, or use-based data mining — by Real Results or any third party. This complies with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.

Your Control Over AI Data Sharing

• You must explicitly opt in to AI coaching before any data is sent to xAI.
• You can disable AI coaching at any time in the app's Settings (AI Coaching toggle).
• When AI coaching is disabled, no personal data is sent to xAI.
• You can request deletion of any stored data by contacting privacy@realresults.app.
